Billing Coordinator

Office:

Gibbons P.C. is seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator. The position requires a minimum of 3 years' billing experience, including CMS/Aderant billing and e-billing, in a midsize to large law firm.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sorting and distributing monthly prebills to billing attorneys
  • Utilizing the electronic billing workflow product of Aderant Expert to manage billing cycles of assigned billing attorneys
  • Editing prebills and finalizing invoices, including transfers, write-offs, etc.
  • Handling complex and split billing
  • Producing and mailing out client reminder statements
  • Transmitting electronic invoices with various e-billing systems, such as: Serengeti, Allegient, Tymetrix360, CounselLink, etc.
  • Maintaining working relationships with each billing attorney and/or secretary as assigned
  • Researching and resolving billing inquiries as they occur
  • Maintaining lists of special billing requirements

Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills
  • Minimum 3+ years of legal billing experience with e-billing
  • Experience in a medium to large scale law firm
  • CMS/Aderant experience
  • Electronic billing (LEDES) experience
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours when necessary
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure and to assist other department employees as needed
